A public high school has suspended three students who disobeyed officials by saying the word "vagina" during a reading from the "Vagina Monologues", a well-known feminist play. Since when is "vagina" vulgar? Should they have said "cunt" instead?

See, this is also part of what makes girls ashamed to report things like rape and abuse, and afraid of sex when they're ready for it: they start thinking of thier OWN BODIES as shameful. Arg.
